Land Rover Repair: freelander trouble, water ingress, faulty wiring

Hi hope you can help my boot compartment keeps filling up with water. Where will this be coming from? My rear door window doesnt open using dash board controls when door is closed but when open does but have to close the door again to close the window. Also my rear wipers have stopped working all together. Could this all be connected, or have i just got to many problems lol sorry window in door also has broken motor, so not having good time at minute.

Hi Donna,

water ingress in footwell is common to LR's.  Could be windscreen leaks, leaks from in-dash heater matrix or even the outside edging is leaking water into the Freelander.


Rear door troubles are common on LR's.  Better to have LR look after this problem...solve it before it gets worse.

Rear wipers could be related to a faulty wiring harness or a fuse has failed.
