Land Rover Repair: Electrics, serpentine belt, dashboard

Question
The dashboard battery light fails to go out once the car has
strated - though it does dim to some extent.  What is the
likely cause, please?     Thanks

Hi Malcolm,

have your battery tested right away. ALSO, have the alternator and serpentine belt tested too! If the alt is not charging the battery, the battery will eventually fail and you're stuck!

At this point, it looks like your battery is not holding a charge.

If your in the States, go to Advance Auto...they'll test your battery and alternator for free.  If you need a new battery, they've got them.  Let me know how it turns out.
