Answer
Hi Scott,

There are usually several reasons why an engine has difficulty starting when hot.  It could be that your ignition timing is off.  Easy to check, if you have a scope.

Check to make sure your air filter is clean and that the MAF sensor area is also clean and tidy.  The MAF is a sensitive part (some say moody) that is very expensive to replace.  I've known owners to use electronic cleaners or brake cleaning fluid to clean around the MAF.  Make sure the MAF is fully dry before attempting to start your engine.

When was the last time your fuel injectors were cleaned?  Have them cleaned and tested to be sure there is no fouling taking place.

Lastly, have your cylinder compression tested.  This will reveal if there are more serious problems inside your engine.

Hope this helps,
