Answer
Hi Mark,

if you've done this on other cars, its not that difficult.  I find that the front rotors are more difficult than the rear, but thats just me.

The only unique tools would be the brakeline wrench to remove the line from your calipers, a large 2 1/16 inch socket to remove the hub nut from all the wheels, a circlip plier to remove the circlip on each hub, bearing grease (you might as well clean and check the bearings while they are exposed).

You can purchase 3rd party brake parts:  I use Raybestos on my '95 Disco.  You will have to purchase a special lock washer and gasket from the local LR dealership.  Ask the part department for this...tell them you are changing the rotors and they'll give you the paper gasket and washers you'll need.  Should be the same for your series II ... I think.

This is a good weekend job for all 4 wheels - for most do it yourselfer's. Take your time.  Do one side at a time.  If you get stuck, you can switch over to the other side to see how it fits back together.

A repair manual would be nice but I don't think Haynes has one for your series II Disco.  Send me an email and I'll try to find for you the techsheets on how to do this on your Series II Disco.
