Land Rover Repair: Air Suspension, land rover discovery, road mode

Question
I have a 1999 Land Rover Discovery Series III. I was driving along a slightly bumpy road when I heard the rear tires start to rub. I stopped and noticed that the rear of the vehicle lowered on both sides. I attempted to manually raise the vehicle using the off road mode switch but the warning light did not stay illuminated and I heard 3 chimes. I've check the fuse but it looks good. There are no warning lights on the dash. I've let it sit for a couple of hours and opened and closed all doors for proper connection but the SLS system will not engage.

Answer
Hi Kevin,

sounds like a compressor has failed.  You can try disconnecting the negative cable on your battery (20 seconds) then reattaching it.  You'll have to reset the radio security code.

Most suspension problems I've seen will need LR to repair. Prepare yourself.

Best of luck,
