My truck won't start. I believe I damaged some of the sensors and the ECU. I have replaced the ECU and the main fuel multifunction relay. It still won't start. It coughs every so often when I turn it over. OBD-II shows no error codes and MIL is OFF. What should I do next (besides take it to the dealer)?
Answer -
first you need to check if the check engine light comes on when you turn the key on.next a little more info on the problem.when swapping out computors they need to be programmed with the alarm ecu to work properly, some cases you willget lucky and will work with out programming.

The check engine light comes on when I turn on the key. Should I swap the eproms from my original ECU to the replacement?

Answer
no eproms have nothing to do with security.but if the check engine light comes on you are lucky.it should be working.you can check a few things check if you are getting spark then fuel.remove spark plug let it sit on side of engine see if sparks.then check on top of engine right side you will see a valve looks like air valve on tire push in see if gas comes out be carefull.check back with me please.
