Land Rover Repair: SUSPENSION CONVERSION, conversion kits, conversion kit

Question
2000 R/R 4.0. Been having problems w/ EAS and was thinking about spring conv. Any info would be appreciated. I'm told this is a common problem & very costly system to repair. Have 99,048 mi on the clock.

Answer
Hi Tony,

yes EAS problems are common and some owners have purchased coil spring conversion kits.  Kits include a EAS override module that is an answer to reocurring problems.

For those RR owner with EAS woes, I'd go for the conversion.  Kit costs about $1000USD and perhaps $250 in labour.

Look around on the internet for companies that offer these kits and for those that do the installation.  Consider asking your LR dealer but be prepared for higher price.

www.roverparts.com has a kit - look in RR suspension catalog.

Best of luck,
