Land Rover Repair: Serious front end vobbling, merry christmas and happy new year, steering damper

I have a 96 RR 4.6, the problem is when I pass 50MPH mark, entire car starts to vobble violently and feels like it will fall apart, I have 19" wheels from new RR on it, could it be a problem with incorrect balancing and maybe all I need is to put hub centric rings???

Hi Igor,

have your local mechanic check your steering damper to see if it needs replacement.  This is a common problem with older Rangies and Disco's.  Could also be a sign that your shocks and springs may need replacement.  Also inspect your balljoints.
