Land Rover Repair: warning lights on all the time, land rover dealers, fairview pa

Question
we just had some body work done on our '99 dico. Driving home, I noticed the TC, ABS and Incline lights were all on.  I could not get them off.
The main question is.. can I drive the Disco with these lights on?
Here is another problem.. we just moved from VA to Fairview PA where there are no Land Rover dealers.. so getting it fixed will be a real big problem.. so we are thinking of selling it and getting something that can be serviced locally. This makes us very sad and we love our Disco.
Do you think, the body shop may have disturbed something causing the lights to come on? I am hoping there is a very simple resolution.
Also, how do I get the Radio security code as mentioned in another FAQ relative to this problem and giving instructions on resetting things to see if the light goes out?
Thanks in advance for you reply.

Answer
Hi Dick,

The problem you describe is common for models with the TC, HDC, ABS options.  You'll have to contact a local LR service department to see if it is false readings that are being issued or if a true fault has been triggered.  I believe you could drive the Disco with the "three amigo's" activated but I'd get it to a dealership as soon as possible.  Just to be sure.

Here is the website for the Harrisburg dealership:
harrisburg.landroverretailer.com

From the above site, you can go to the US LandRover site and try to find a dealership that is closer, if that is possible.

Its possible that the body shop could have triggered a false reading, for example, while correcting a damaged frame or repairing a front bumper.

You can try to reset the lights by disconnecting the negative cable from your battery for about 5 secs. Reattach the cable and re-enter the radio security code.  This will flush all errors that have been trapped.  Once you start up your Disco, if there is a problem, you may see the error coded lights again.  I hope not.

The radio security code is usually found with your owners manual.  IF not, you'll have to contact a dealership and they'll confirm your ownership and help you with the code.

I do as much work with my Disco as I can and leave the more difficult jobs for the dealership.  You might consider this option if you are a do-it-yourself owner, like me!

Best of luck with this,

NB:  drove through your area this summer and enjoyed the scenery. Wish we could have stayed longer.
