I have a 1997 Landrover Discover SE.  When I arm my alarm, only the passenger side (USA) flashes.  Generally speaking, the turn signals all work and the hazard flashers all work.  But, for some reason, the driver's side does not flash when arming alarm.

Can you help?

Hi Doug,

I need to know if it does the same when arming or disarming. Do all of your locks function normal, including the hatch. Let me know and maybe we can get lucky and figure it out.

Thanx, Dave

Dave,

Thanks for your reply.  Yes, I get the same results when arming and disarming.  Three flashes on passenger side when arming.  One flash on passenger side when disarming.

Regarding the locks, the hatch does not fully unlock when disarmed.  I have to use the key to open it.  It does seem to lock properly when arming.  Hope this helps.

Answer
Hi Doug,

Sorry for the delay. I need some more info. Am I correct in this assumption?  Only the right side front signal, rear signals and side marker light come on correct.

Did you have any trailer wiring done or has the rover been in an accident? I ask this because a ground wire could be damaged.

If none of the above, Check all of your fuses. It looks like Fuses F1 and F5 could be a problem. These pertain to the alarm. Supposedly, From the printed info I have.

I hate to say If nothing has happened to the rover a new alarm module may be needed.

If you want to get fancy. The alarm module is located behind the glovebox. a black box mounted on its side. A real Bit-- to get out. It has 4 nuts ands a plug with about 20 wires. The plug should be numbered for position.

Go to pin 1 wire  Green with a white tracer line and also find pin 6 Green wire with a red line. Cut the Green/Red and splice it into the green/white wire. This makes the left turn on when right side alarm lights come on. Kinda tricky.

If it were mine I wouldn't really worry about it too much. Now if it starts flashing with one long flash change your key clicker batteries.

I hope i was some help. any other question feel free to ask.
Please leave some feed back.

Thanx, Dave
