Land Rover Repair: no power, air filters, hesitation

Normal driving @ 65 mph going up a hill the engine sound chnaged and I lost power couldn't go over 70 mph.  The engine is not missing, idles smooth and no hesitation. Any Ideas where to start?

Hello Tim,

sorry for the delay.

Sounds like ignition problems.  You could start by changing your plugs, wires, fuel and air filters.  Have your injection system cleaned and tested.  You may want to have your engine flushed too.  I've noticed that older Disco's seem to have problems with the spark amplifier module.  Best to have your LR dealer hook the engine up to diagnostic analyzer and see if firing and timing is set correctly.
