Land Rover Repair: Ingition lock, car thieves, steering wheel

Ignition switch is mechanically locked up.  It is in PARK and the steering wheel is not locked.  Tried multiple keys.  Seems like it wants to turn, but won't.

Anything I can do to fix it?
Anything I can do to get it into neutral to make the tow easier?

Hello Steve,

You'll have to have your LR lifted onto a platform tow truck.  They can do this without harming your Disco.  I am not aware of how to bypass the immobiliser unit without using the ignition system.  Most car thieves would love to know how to do this.  I looked around on the internet and did not get any responses from fellow Disco owners.  Many have a different problem:  ignition works but can't get out of park - which describes the immobiliser unit as the fault.  Your problem is the inverse.
