Land Rover Repair: MAF sensor, O2 sensors, cable issues, battery cable

Question
I am currently working on a 1998 Range Rover and having a problem with check engine light returning continously. Catalyst deterioration failure. Looking into problem find that MAF sensor is not sending information to computer. O2 sensors fine at this time, replace MAF sensor with new and now MAF sensor nor O2 sensors sending info to computer. Put old MAF sensor back in and now MAF sensor and O2 sensors working intermittently. I'm heading towards either computer problem or harness problem. If anyone can help or has had similar problem please get back to me a.s.a.p.
                             Thank you.

Answer
Hello Curtis,

Have a look at the connector on the ecu.  Has it worked loose?  Look for fraying where it passes round the back of the engine and through the bulkhead.

Check that the alternator is working properly and check for any earth and battery cable issues.

I will ask around for more possible causes.
