Lexus Repair: Lexus RX300 Fuse, cigarette lighter, lexus rx300

Hi: My cigarette lighter and side view mirrors stopped working.  I checked the manual and surmised I needed to change the fuse.  I replaced the fuse and the cigarette lighter and mirrors worked again perfectly.  I drove around for another hour and then went home.  Three hours later I got back into my car and realized the cigarette lighter and side mirrors were not working again.  The next morning, I replaced the fuse again but this time the cigarette lighter and side mirrors did not work.  What is the problem?  What do I need to do?  Will this be a costly repair job?  Thanks.

A SHORT OR HIGH AMP DRAW, WHICH CAUSES A blown fuse can sometimes be tricky to find.there is 1 other circuit that uses the cig fuse. its the shift lock circuit. this fuse feeds the shift lock ecu.i would first inspect the cig. lighter socket, to make sure nothing is shorting out inside. if thats ok, it may need to go to a shop for diagnosis. it should not be to costly,depending on whats wrong.
