Lexus Repair: Blown Head gasket, toyota 4x4 pickup, blown head gasket

I have a 93 toyota 4x4 pickup with a 4 cylinder engine. My wife was driving and it overheated. City Garage towed it and said the radiator was cracked and replaced that to the tune of 400 dollars now say there is a blown head gasket on the engine which will cost 2 thousand plus to repair. Is this normal?

Hello Darren,
If you run the vehicle hot, Most of the time.  It would cause head gasket failure and cause more damaged. How did they determine if the raditor has a leak? What test did they do to determine the Head gasket is blown? I would get a written estimate from them.  You don' these people going back to you later on and request for more money.
