Lexus Repair: brakes, rear brakes, abs systems

Question
I own a 1993 lexus 400sc. I believe the right rear brake intermittently grabs, causing the vehicle to shake. This wheel also becomes warm to the touch. Could this be a problem with the abs?

Answer
I doubt it. You'd have an ABS light on.
All wheel are warm to scalding hot after even light driving. ABS systems do not apply brakes. They unapply them. They simply cut the fluid to one of the wheels / axle sets of brakes.
(Newer stability control systems use the brakes)
In your case. The ABS can deactivate either front wheel independantly, or the both the rear brakes together.

You can take the wheek off & flip the pad & piston up to check it if you want, but I wouldn't think it was the brake dragging at the top of my list, no.
