Lexus Repair: Having fuel fill problem, fuel nozzle, warranty laws

Question
I have a 2002 RX300, and everytime we attempt to put fuel in the tank, the fuel nozzle shuts off unless we go very, very slow.  It takes about 10 minutes to fill up the tank.  Also the check engine light, VSC and Traction off light are now on. We took it to Lexus last year, and they said that the top to a fuel additive was lodged in the evaporative canister line. At that time none of the check engine lights were on, and after payaing them $300++ the car was okay for about 3 weeks or so. I'm beginng to think that there never was anything lodged in the fuel system, and that the problem is either the evap. charcoal cannister, purge solenoid vacuum or something related to emissions.  Thanks for your help.  BB

Answer
Hello Bob, I did not see a question here but I will give you my opinion. Firts for the cap to have blocked evap canister line it must have been a very small cap, smaller than a dime. Second, that line will not cause your problem. That line only comes in to use when the vehicle is running and is not like a vent. The problem must be in the fuel tank filler or vent in the filler neck area. As far as the check engine light being on this should be covered under the 6yr 80k fedral emmissions warranty laws. The other two lights may go out after they fix that problem.
