Lexus Repair: waterpump removal lexus ls 400 1990, lexus ls 400, tensioner pulley

Question
Zak, I followed your advice to remove water pump everything is off down to timing belt. How do I release tension. Any suggestion on keeping cams in line thanks a million

Answer
Hello Ray, You will see at the bottom left of the engine a tensioner pulley and just bellow that a tensioner held in by two bolts, just remove the two bolts. Once you have the cams and crank set on there timing marks the cams should not go far as long as you do not bang them.
