Lexus Repair: Lexus LS 400 wont start, lexus ls 400, engine cranks

Question
I removed and replaced the starter myself.  Manifolds and injecttion system came off.
Engine cranks well, one plug tested has spark and fuel vapor is in exhaust.
Ocasionally backfires through air intake when key is released.
I turned the flywheel (for greasing) with the starter and injection system off.
I tried to crank the starter (for testing) with the fuel injection system off. (All electrical went dead during this but seems normal now.)
Did I cook some computer or is there injector timing afoul?

Thanks,
Mark

Answer
Hey Mark, Hard to say what happened. As far as injector timing probably not. I would start by just checking all of the connections first, second checking fuel pressure, third spark on both sides of motor. You didn't remove the timing belt for any reason right?

Thanks for your question, Zak
