Lincoln/Mercury Repair: Lincoln LS 2002 AC Trouble, heater control valve, fuse blows

Question
Dinger please help!

30 amp AC fuse blows after 2 minutes of running AC.  I can set AC at lowest temp, 60 degrees, and it runs fine.  But when I adjust dual climate to around 75 degrees fuse blows every time.  I've had the heater control valve replaced.  What's next?

Thanks a bunch,
Ty

Answer
Hi Ty,

Sounds like a dead short in the switch as opposed to a loose nut behind the wheel... heheheh. Ford part number XW4Z19980CA, list is huge... $463.28. Only calls for .6 hours though. Level "B" tech experience. In otherwords, piece of cake DIY. Tell them the part is for a garage and pretend your a tech and the dealer will give you 20% off. That'll save you a whole tank of gas or about $90! If you send me your email, I will forward you the instructions... Because I am... The Dinger! LOL Thanks for having some fun...
