after replacing the water pump, my 91 towncar does not start. it turns over and acts as if it wants to start but just doesn't get that last kick. As i am cranking, sometimes the motor shakes and then dies out. what is my problem? It did run for about five minutes after replacing water pump. Then began acting as if no gas and then died out. Has not started since.

first check the fuel relay which is in the trunk reset it and see if it starts let me know pete

I found the fuel relay, it was not disengaged and would not allow me to reset it. What should I do?

Answer
Hello
hopeing it was . Well now u have to check to see if you are geting gas . i would remove the gas line on the gas filter and turn the car over to see if you see gas comeing out of line also on top of the motor make sure u did not knock off any vac lines by the water pump when installed
