Mazda Repair: 2005 mpv timing cover gasket leak, gasket, mpv

Question
I am thinking of buying a 2005 MPV that the owner just had in for an oil change and was told the timing cover gasket has a little leak. Called several mechanics and said it is a major job to replace the gasket. Does this problem warrant a red flag that I should not buy the van? It only has 105000 miles.

Thank you

Answer
it's very time consuming to do but does happen to cars as they age if all the service records are good and up to date and you feel it's worth it then thats totally up to you

i personally won't recommend someone by a car that needs that type of repair unless there very mechanically skilled and can do it themselfs
