Mazda Repair: 2001 Mazda Mpv battery light, mazda mpv, alternator

Question
We replaced the alternator and battery in this vehicle in November.  Now the battery light is on again.  Tested the battery with meter, it reads 13.8+ in idle, then 14+ with the engine revved and connected to battery.  When the positive terminal is removed, the engine dies out.  We have replaced the alternators multiple times.  All the wires seem to be intact and no corrosion.  any ideas on where to start?

Answer
have you had the battery tested at all it sounds like the alternator maybe over charging the battery. i'm not sure of the type of alternator in your vehicle but if the resistor isn't a built in type with the alternator you may want to test the resistor it maybe bad and over charging the battery sorting it's life.
