I am having a hard time finding the thermostat the location?

there inline with the inlet side of the coolant housing take referance as to how it came out there can be installed backwards and may cause damage. follow the coolant line to where in goes into the motor you'll see a cast housing remove it and it's in there. remove and install new gasket and thermostat. make sure the motor is cold as some coolant will leak out remember to top it up
