Mazda Repair: 03 mazdaspeed protege problems, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

Question
I recently bought a 2003 mazda 5 speed protege 2L turbocharged 4cylinder. When i try to take off, it seems like there's a leak somewhere or something. The turbo tries to wind up, and then it starts "stuttering". I don't know why it does this. My check engine light is also on, I just had it checked. It says the neutral switch circuit fault. The second code shows Idle control system RPM higher than expected. It idles high when I am stopped and have the brake on, and when the car is just sitting, it idles up, and then idles down, over and over again, it usually stops after a few minutes. I'm not really familiar with turbos, let alone problems like this. It looks like whoever had the car before me tried to "modify" it, it has an aftermarket air intake...I just don't know what to do. Thanks.

Answer
you probly have a vacuum leak or a problem with the mass air flow sensor or the map sensor

normally iratic idle is due to a vacuum leak so start there then check the main sensors the mas the map and the iac sensors if you don't have a vacuum leak
