Mazda Repair: mazda bearing, premature failure, glass eye

Question
Around the end of October 2009 I heard a whining from my drivers side front wheel. I realised it was the bearing and therefore put it in to get fixed. when i turned up to pay the bill I was informed that the flange hub was worn and the garage were not to keen to guarentee it. I did not have the £145.00 Mazda wanted for the flange hub so left hoping things would be ok. today I took my car to be MOT,d and one of the things that failed my car is the bearing i had replaced just a couple of months ago. My car has been running fine ,there has been no whining noise at all from the bearing  so can you tell me is it possible that the bearing is kapoot already. or could it have something to do with this flange hub. I would,nt mind but was made unemployed last year and what with the £95 to get the bearing the first time then £48 for an MOT today and now i may need another bearing which I can get for £30 but need to pay to have it pressed I am at my wits end. i need this as i have to pay £115 to tax my car for the next six month. Sorry for the sob story but this would bring a tear to a glass eye. hope you can help. yours faithfully Alan

Answer
any parts that house or susport the bearing or suspenstion that are worn or damaged can cause premature wear on parts it is possible that hub would cause this premature failure, and most garages in that position would not warrienty the part knowing that a part in relation to the bearing would cause it to wear premature.
