Mazda Repair: clutch wont engage, beck arnley, slave cylinders

Question
a relative of mine, was parking my miata and bumb my porch(which is concert) lightly....next morning car wouldnt shift into any gear....where would i begin to troubleshoot problem

Answer
Coincidence yes but, not the relatives fault.  Sounds like your clutch hydraulic system has a failure.  Check the reservoir fluid level.  (small white semi transparent reservoir) Under the hood driver's side.  Use DOT 3 brake fluid if low.  If the level is okay it may be leaking pressure internally.

In either case it is advisable to replace both the master and the slave cylinders at the same time.  Use new parts, Mazda or Beck Arnley and you be on the way again in no time.
