Mazda Repair: water around the spark plug, spark plug wire, cooling fans

Question
I found that my car started missing, so I thought that my plugs or wires had gone bad so I went to pull spark plug wire to replace spark plug & found water on the top of the spark plugs, I vacuumed water off the top of the spark plugs n cleaned up as much water as possible, check for water in the cylinder & did not find any there.. replaced plugs & wires & ran car, runs good again but where did the water come from ? also how do I check that the cooling fans are working properly ? they don`t see to come on

Answer
Miata?

If the engine has been cleaned moisture can seep past the plug boots.  In some case rain can be dispersed by the cooling fans, it would have the be a lot of rain.  In any case once moisture makes it past the plug boot is does not readily evaporate rather it condenses.  It's water from some outside source not from the engine itself.
