Mazda Repair: miata radiator, plastic tank radiator, aluminum core

Question
Just replaced the thermostat after over heating. Noticed fluid spitting out of the
radiator at the top seam. Fluid still seems high?

Can this be sealed from the outside? What's the next step?

Answer
No, it's not repairable.  Once the plastic tank ruptures you either have the tank replaced or replace the radiator as an assembly.  The tanks are hard to come by and shops that do the repair are few and far between.  I strongly suggest replacing the assembly and be sure to replace it with a plastic tank radiator that has an aluminum core NOT an all metal one. (Mazda or Koyo)

The plastic does age though once ever 15+ years is not a big deal.  The idea behind it is that the plastic tank acts like a fuse of sorts in the case of an overheat it is better to rupture the tank than to take out the head or head gasket.
