Mazda Repair: RX-7 1984 Mazda w/ FI 13b engine, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

Question
Yesterday, car ran fine for an hour, then, at a stoplight, it just died (while idling).
I popped the hood, wiggled the air filter housing (I had put in a new air filter the day before). After about 5 minutes, I tried to restart it.
It cranked, started, and ran for 4-5 seconds, then died again - and wouldn't start after that. I walked home.
The next morning, it started and ran enough (5-10 seconds)to back it up for the tow truck) then died.
Now.....
It's got 3/4 tank of fuel, the fuel pump pumps about 43 psi pressure when cranking, the battery is charged, it's got plenty of spark at the plugs.
What's not stock:
K&N air filter
Removed the stock cool air intake "L" rubber to the grill.
Blue spark plug wires...

Thanks for the help -

Answer
Fuel; check for flow in a catch can.

Ignition; you have spark enough to fire it up once in awhile.  See if you have spark while cranking it when it doesn't want to start.

Will it start with starting fluid, does it run longer.  Narrow down the fuel and ignition system

Beyond that an air flow indication, not sure what system that EFI used either a MAP manifold air pressure or a MAS mass air flow sensor.  Wiggle connectors while cranking, unplug clean and reconnect.
