Mazda Repair: 1994 mazda protege 1.8L DOHC manual 5spd, air mixture, mazda protege

How do I set the timing.Label under hood shows 5 degress BTDC (yellow connector)I cann't find no yellow connector the timing mark indicator is in a hard to see spot.Any tips Also the Idle air mixture.I can turn the screw clockwise till it stops and its still running (vaccum leak?)I cann't find no vaccum leak.Any info would be greatly apprecated.

dont mess with the timing unless someone did and it's not running correctly now.. check this' remove the airtube (throttle body to air cleaner) look for any splits in the rubber,  sometimes there hard to find,  roll it like a slinky,  thats where i would start first.  thats what i get for trying to help you?  what an asshole,i should have said run the exhaust pipe into your car while you took a nap, would have done the world good!
