Mazda Repair: Mazda 93 mx6, idle drop then catches up when steping on the gas, 93 mazda mx6, mass air flow sensor

Hello,
I have a 93 mazda mx6 manual trans.  I recently changed the cap and rotor,
wires and plugs on the car.  The engine seems to idle fine, but when I step on
the gas (regular to hard) while stopped, the engine hesitates before it goes.  If I
step on the gas slowly, it's fine.  It did not have the problem before.  Any
information you have will be helpful...  Thank you for you time.

pull off the mass air flow sensor, (2 tamper proof screws)look closely to the 2 fine wires to see if they look like the have and junk on them, you can spray it with brake clean or carb clean.. also check to see if all 4 of the 10mm bolts are there to the tube, sometimes they fall out and let dirt get on the sensor,  clean or replace sensor, drive vehicle and do a min of 3 wot (wide open throttles)
means punch it a few times while driving.  bet that fixes it!
