Mazda Repair: Mazda 929, mazda v6, cold motor

Hi John i have a 1995 929 Mazda V6.When i try to start the car cold motor it just keep turning over not starting.after several tries the car will start .Sometimes i smell a little gas.Also sometimes if i keep the key turned it will start but i dont want to burn my starter. What could i do to get my car yo start right away.Thank You!

I would have it tuned up and see where you stand after that. Wires, plugs, cap, and rotor will put it in the right place to start if the problem lies elsewhere.
All the filters should be changed as well.
Try that and get back to me on the progress of the situation. I will be able to determine more once I know that has been done.
