Mazda Repair: Mazda B3000 Wont Start, 1994 mazda b3000, short trips

Question
I was reading one of your answers to a question and you mentioned seeing a problem similar to the one I'm having.

My 1994 Mazda B3000 frequently won't start.  It seems to happen after I have made several short trips.  That is, it will start for the first few short trips but as the number of times I turn off the engine, then restart it increases, the more likely it is to not start.  If I wait a random amount of time, sometimes the engine will restart but eventually, it simply dies for good, leaving me stranded.

I have taken it to a repair shop that has replaced the pick-up coil which seemed to fix the problem.  However, a short time after the part was replaced, the same thing began occuring.  The pick-up coil was replaced again which again seemed to fix the problem but shortly after, the truck began exhibiting the same behaviour as before.  Next, the repair shop replaced the engine control computer which once again, seemed to fix the problem but... you get the idea.

I'm at my wits end here.  Any help in resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated.
