Mazda Repair: mazda 626 transmission, clutch kit, mazda 626

Question

Trans will pull forward but will not backup.
We have replaced the clutch kit and still willnot backup.

Hi Jack thanks for asking, this is probably not a problem with the clutches inside the transmission,  it can be a few things, I dont know if you know but when a transmission is put in reverse max line pressure is applied throuout the trans.. so it could be a pressure issue, it could also be a probelem with a shift solenoid. Did you replace the bands as well? one more thing this may be is the one way clutch in the back of the transmssion that may be faulty
