Mazda Repair: Mazada Navajo, friction surface, ac recharge

Question
I am trying to replace the front rotors on my navajo but am unable to remove the old ones. any help would be appreicated.

Answer
If they are stuck onto the hub you can try a large hammer and hit them on the friction surface to knock them free. You can also go get a can of AC recharge with the little hose and use that to freeze the iron hat where the rotor mounts to the spindle. By striking it when it's cold it should crack the old rotor and allow it to release itself.
Don’t be afraid to really beat the snot out of it. I used a 25 LB Sledge Hammer with a 4 foot handle when I worked at the dealership. Most of the time they came off in pieces!
Have fun, wear safety glasses, do it outside.
