Mazda Repair: tranmission, gear ratios, mazda protege

Question
I have a 92 mazda protege I need to find an automatic tranmission for it and my question is will  a mazda 626 trans work or any other mazda in the same three years work for it or does it have to be an protege

Unfortantly none of the transmissions are interchangeable between models, all of the transmissions are set for each individual model, like different gear ratios, different shift patterns, and more or less clutches for the weight of the vehicle. You will have to find a transmissoin for the same model car
