Question
We have no fire to the ignition system.  What do we need to check first and where is it located in the engine compartment.  We installed a new battery and lost ingition.  The car will crank but will not start.  We pulled a plug and we have no fire.

Hi Joe,
The most likely problem would be a blown fusable link. This causes no spark and can sometimes occur after a battery change. If this is not the problem however, the first things to check after that would be the coil and the igniter in the distributor.
