Mazda Repair: Tune up recomendation, new distributor cap, windshield wipers

Question
I am a do it yourself kind of person that likes to be machanical.  I have a 94 Mazda pick up with a 4.0 engine.  What are the recomended tune up procedures for this vehicle?  What parts should be replaced durring a tune up.  Thanks for your help

Answer
Well that all depends on what kind of tune up your'e gonna be doing. Normally at a quick lube repair shop they will do a full vehicle tune up. They would change the oil and replace the oil filter, they would check the air filter for any obstruction, they will also check all of the serpintie or drive belts, they will also bleed and adjust your brakes, they will check they transmission fluid level and adjust as needed, also replace your windshield wipers if needed. Some other things you should check are the spark plugs and replace or adjust as needed, also check or flush and refill your engine coolant if possible, and also check your distributor cap to see if it needes to be replaced by simply looking at the metal contacts inside the cap to see if they are burned down to a very minimal size, if they are then you just need to get a new distributor cap. I think I coverd all of the basic tune-up requirerments but if you happen to have any other questions feel free to ask me at any time.
