Mercedes Benz repair: 1992 Mercedes Power Antennae, power antennae, antenna switch

Question
QUESTION: My 1992 Mercedes antennae was not going up and down regularly until recently it cut out in the middle of going up.  Where would the fuse be for the antennae?  Would the fuse be located behind the radio -or?

ANSWER: Greetings! The fuse is located in the fuse box. also there is a fuse in the back of the radio. The fuse in the back of the radio is for the radio and not the antenna. If i remember right, there are a few fuses in the fuse box for the antenna,Also make sure that your antenna switch is all the way up, as if it is in the middle, the antenna wont go but halfway up. You should be able to hear the antenna motor run when the ignition switch is turned on for a few seconds. If not, check the fuses and then for fire at the antenna plug in the trunk. Thanks and i hope this helps

QUESTION: Thank you for this prompt reply!
I will check all the fuses in the box.
Also, the antennae is controlled by the radio (aftermarket) being turned on/off.  Is there a seperate switch that I should look for?

Answer
Greetings! There is a relay in the passenger front floorboard just underneath the carpet. It is a chance that the relay is bad.If all this is hooked up correctly, Then it may still pass through the relay. It being an aftermarket, i cant really say for sure. Thanks and good luck! Ricky
