Mercedes Benz repair: 2000 SL500, auto help, second stage

Real simple, huh. Aside from the hood release inside driver floor panel, is there another latch to open the hood? Puzzled...

 Well if you have already opened the first stage . Yes there is a second stage release. Look in the center of the Star. There is a release there. That is if it is not broken off. Now if the inside does not release the 1st stage because of the plastic release being broken then that is another solution to be addressed.
