Mercedes Benz repair: 2001 Mercedes CL500, mb tech, auto help

Question
Front driver's side power window is stuck fully closed. It also doesn't retract the quarter-inch when the door is opened. It did this once about 2 weeks agao and after a couple of days, just started working again. This might be a clue... I get in the car and close the door, then I  press the switch to close the front driver's side window (even though it's already closed)... and the rear window closes the last quarter-inch from when it retracts automatically when the door is opened to get in (normally, both the front and rear windows do this automatically, but since the front window is stuck shut, the rear window only retracts automatically when you get in, but doesn't close automatically when the door shuts). The front window switch has power to it andyou can hear it click if you hold it in the close position for a second or so (as in when resynchronizing the express close feature)

Answer
The windows on this vehicle are controlled through the DCM (DOOR CONTROL MODULE). this module is behind the door panel and it has everything plugged into it that is on that side. There is a l/s and a r/s one on each door. It would be easier to see what is happening with the original MB DAS . It could also be the latch. The DCM's are not coded to the car so if you can find a used one plug it in and see.
Note be careful on door panel removal. This panel is expensive and can cost you more to replace that having a MB tech fix your problem.

Best of Luck
