Mercedes Benz repair: sl500 auto drop down window, window settings

my 2001 sl500's drivers door won't drop down the 1/2" it's suppose to when you open the door. The drivers side works fine.

This will need to be taken to the dealership. Generally the problem can be solved by resetting the window points, but quite often, this feature can be disabled by a problem with the door open/close signal which will not be reset with the window reset feature.

Hopefully you can repair it with this resetting:
You will need to perform this on both of your windows.
Turn ignition to the accessories position..
open the window approx half way.
Press the switch to close the window, but do not press it all the way down(that would activate the one touch feature)
once window has closed, keep pressing on the switch for 10 seconds.
Release the switch and repeat the exact same procedure for rolling the window down.

Once you have completed this, your power window settings will be reset and this may repair your concern. If it does not, you will need to take it to the dealership.
