Mercedes Benz repair: stallng, air breather, car stalls

Question
I have an 01 s430 with 75,000 miles in new jersey. The car stalls at lights and sometimes will not start again for a day or so.
I changed the fuel relay switch and that worked for a about a week or so. i have an appt to go to the dealer on the 9th and affraid i will get ripped off as usual. i am a mechanic by trade but out of the business for a while now.
any advise would help.

As a skillled technician yourself.
* I suggest you test the charging system and battery.
* Scan for codes.
* Inspect all air Breather Hoses for cracks/leaks.
