Mercedes Benz repair: no spark, mercedes benz 300e, number search results

Question
I was told my prolem was the crank sensor when my 1988 mercedes 300e wold not fully crank.  I am getting no spark to my plugs and the coil only read .5-.6.

Answer
Did you replace the crank position sensor (located @ the Flywheel)?

I would replace the ignition coil, due to age failures.
A defective Overload Protection Relay may be also involved.
A bad KE control unit is possible, though not likely.
