Mercedes Benz repair: Faulty Gadges, fuel gauge, hazard light

Question
1983 Mercedes 300D: My fuel, temp, oil pressure guages as well as my tach (speedometer OK) do not work unless. . . . you pull on the upper right side of the plexiglass cover. The cover is pulled like you are trying to remove it by pulling on that upper right hand corner.  It seems that by pulling on the upper right hand corner, it exerts pressure down on the lower left and side, thus correcting the problem.  This was discovered by the previous owner.  I'm thinking it is a grounding problem.  What say you?  Are the gadges easy to get at?  It this a do it yourselfer or do I need technical assistance?

Answer
Remove the instrument cluster, it sounds like a damaged circuit board.
