Answer
How many miles on vehicle?
Geographic location needed = Florida, Alaska, etc?

The mustard yellow glow plug light should come on in the run position, then go out in thirty to one hundred twenty seconds depending upon ambient temperature = 75F to -40F.
When the light goes off, then you may start the engine.
The starter must crank the engine at 500-800 RPM, or it will not start.
Never crank longer than thirty seconds + if you crank that long the starter must rest for four minutes between cranks.
You need "at least" a one hundred AMP battery charger for charging the diesel battery, unless you have four to seven days to allow a weaker unit to recharge the battery.
In some cold areas, you must change the engine oil to a lighter weight to run in winter.

Note:
A fifteen AMP or lower charger is not capable of ever recharging your battery.
