Mercedes Benz repair: 1985 300 turbo diesel a/c not cold, fan clutch, mercedes dealer


Question
a/c not cold - replaced compressor with NEW one, changed to "34" freon, compressor runs but will only cool to about 70*.  This is what it did before the new compressor(only old cocmpressor was a little noisey)Is there an expansion valve? Anyway ...  what are you thinking?  In Iowa and it,s 100* here!

The problem was not refrigerant.
You must use a new R-134A reciever dryer.
There is a TXV in the system.

What is engine temp?
How many miles on car?
Is aux cooling fan working?
Is fan clutch working correctly?
Is the air sample motor working?
Is the mono valve NEW?
What is radiator condition?
Is water pump belt tight?
there are other possible issues.
