Mercedes Benz repair: ABS light, dashboard light, diagnostic time

Hi whunter,
I'm pretty much at the end of my rope.
I have a 1995 (gas) E320.  I know I'm a little outside of your expertise, but here goes...
The ABS dashboard light will come on, and the
blower motor will shut off as soon as the light comes on. I hope this might be a common problem
that comes up in other models and years of MB.

Answer
The only thing the two systems share is grounds and alternator power supply.
ABS is an isolated safety system in all other ways.
This leads to the conclusion that:
#1. Bad battery.
#2. Bad alternator.
#3. One or more ground point bad.

Without serious hands on diagnostic time I can go no further.
