MG Car Repair: SU carb. #6020, burlen fuel systems, magna charger

I recently purchased a 1947 MG-TC, brought over from the UK. It has a Magna Charger and the carb has the above number on it. The float bowl has ABF509 on a tag also. Where can I locate information concerning this SU?  Are there kits to rebuild it available?

Hi Richard.  

The numbers you have quoted do not conform to the part numbers in my SU factory catalogue.  

The standard TC carbs were a pair of SU type H2 (with 1.25 inch outlet hole) and ES needles.

The supercharged TC had a single SU type H6 (with 1.75 inch outlet hole) and RM7 needle.
